Ramco Systems appears to be moving from a turnaround story towards a potentially stronger growth phase. FY26 showed a meaningful improvement in operating performance, with revenue growth, sharply higher EBITDA margins and a return to profitability. At the same time, the company continues to maintain a sizeable order book, growing recurring revenue and promising positions in Aviation
The Business
Ramco Systems is a niche enterprise-software company operating primarily across:
Aviation MRO and Aviation ERP
Global Payroll through Ramco Payce
ERP and enterprise asset management
Logistics software
AI/agentic technology through Chia
The company is increasingly positioning itself as an AI-native enterprise software provider, while Aviation and Payroll remain important growth engines.
FY26: The Turnaround Becomes Visible
FY26 was an important year for Ramco.
Revenue: ~₹759 crore, up ~13%
EBITDA: ~₹179 crore
EBITDA margin: ~24%, versus ~14% in FY25
PAT: ~₹45 crore
Unexecuted order book: ~₹1,413 crore
The sharp improvement in EBITDA relative to revenue growth suggests that operating leverage and cost discipline are beginning to work. The order book is particularly encouraging because it provides substantial revenue visibility relative to the current scale of the business.
Q1 FY27: A Necessary Reality Check
The latest quarter presents a mixed picture.
Q1 FY27:
Revenue: ~₹175 crore
EBITDA: ~₹28 crore
Recurring revenue: ~₹115 crore
Unexecuted order book: ~₹1,446 crore
The strong order book and recurring revenue remain positives, but the weak PAT means investors should not assume that FY26’s profitability represents a new permanent run-rate.
Management: Turnaround Promises Largely Delivered
One of the more encouraging aspects of the story is management execution.
Earlier management priorities included:
Becoming and remaining EBITDA positive
Improving cash generation
Growing recurring revenue
Maintaining a healthy order book
Building Aviation/MRO
Controlling costs
Most of these objectives now have tangible evidence behind them. EBITDA profitability improved substantially, recurring revenue increased, Payce gained traction and Aviation/MRO continued to add customers. PAT profitability arrived later than hoped but was finally achieved in FY26.
My assessment of management execution: ~8/10.
The company has not delivered a flawless growth story, but it appears to have materially repaired the economics of the business.
Three Key Growth Engines
Aviation MRO: Ramco continues to expand its aviation software footprint. The Korean Air implementation and subsequent customer wins provide evidence that the Aviation business can become a meaningful long-term growth driver.
Global Payroll: Payroll revenue grew approximately 25% in FY26, making Payce one of the more promising growth areas within the business.
AI / Chia: The AI-native Chia platform provides an additional long-term opportunity. However, monetisation rather than technology positioning will ultimately determine its investment value.
Technical Setup
The stock has moved into a base-building/early recovery phase following its earlier correction.
₹570–572 — Strong Support: A key support zone; holding this level keeps the recovery structure intact.
₹590–600 — Immediate Resistance: The first resistance zone that the stock needs to overcome for momentum to improve.
₹610–617 — Major Resistance: A significant technical hurdle and an important test for the ongoing recovery.
At around ₹588, the setup is improving, but the stock is not yet in a confirmed bullish trend. A sustained move above ₹617–630 with volume would provide much stronger technical confirmation. A break below ₹570 would weaken the recovery structure.
Shareholding: An Interesting Ownership Structure
As of June 2026, Ramco Systems had a strong promoter holding of 55.51%, while FII/FPI ownership stood at 11.48% and mutual funds held 1.52%. The remaining 31.25% was held by public and non-institutional investors, reflecting a healthy mix of promoter, institutional and public ownership.
Notably, FII/FPI ownership increased from approximately 10.02% in March 2026 to 11.48% in June 2026. The disclosed public investors also include Atyant Capital and Chetan Jayantilal Shah, among others. This provides an interesting ownership backdrop for a company of Ramco’s size.
Short, Medium & Long-Term Outlook
Short Term — Neutral to Mildly Bullish: The chart is improving, but ₹600 and then ₹617 remain important hurdles. A decisive move through ₹625–630 would strengthen the bullish case.
Medium Term — Positive, but Conditional: If revenue growth accelerates towards 15–20%, recurring revenue continues growing and EBITDA margins remain around or above 20%, the stock could potentially move towards much higher levels
Long Term — A Potential Structural Growth Story: Ramco Systems is increasingly positioned at the intersection of Aviation MRO, Global Payroll, SaaS and AI, creating a differentiated niche with significant long-term growth potential. The expanding order book, rising recurring revenues, improving profitability and growing customer adoption provide a strong foundation for the next phase of growth. If Ramco successfully scales these businesses and monetises its AI capabilities, the company could evolve from a turnaround story into a structural compounder with meaningful long-term value-creation potential.
Overall Assessment
Ramco Systems is no longer simply a turnaround hope. FY26 provides tangible evidence that the business has improved.
The combination of better margins, profitability, recurring revenue, a strong order book and growth opportunities in Aviation, Payroll and AI makes the story increasingly interesting.
But the market now needs the next piece of evidence: sustained growth with sustained profitability.
My preferred interpretation is therefore: Ramco is an early-stage turnaround moving towards a potential growth story—but the ₹617–630 technical zone and the next few quarters of earnings are the real tests.
